SimPosium Lighting Tutorial

This is something that I picked up in the TSR Skinning forum. Thanks Dr. Pixel.

Everyone has seen the lighting options in SimPose, but have you ever tried to use them? No? I didn't either until now.

Using the lighting is really quite easy, and the lighting is very versatile. You can use just a touch of lighting for a slightly 3D affect, or you can use some drastic lighting affects.

1. The first step is of course to open Sim Posium.

2. Then, under the first tab, "Lights/Camera", choose "Ambient Lighting."

3. Click on the button that says "Change," and select a color, and click "OK.". This color will be used for your shading color.

(Note: if you don't see enough choices, click "Define Custom Colors," and pick a color. Then, click "Add to Custom Colors.")

4. Now, in the pull down menu select "Light 1".

5. Pick a color for your light.

6. Then, adjust the "Direction" and "Elevation."

7. Repeat step three for "Light 2" and "Light 3."

These are examples of the variations of lighting possible in SimPosium
