Dragon Patches

Please read the descriptions carefully, and use only one patch. If you try to use more than one, it may crash your game, since each patch contains different versions of the same iff files.
The cheater meter next to each patch indicates its cheater level. If you don't like to use cheats, choose a low cheater level, which will only allow you to use user created dragon nests. If you want to keep your dragons with no trouble at all, choose a high cheater level.
** Place the dragonglobals.iff in your GameData/Globals folder and all other files in your GameData/Objects folder or sub folder. If the patch doesn't work, please make sure that your fars are not set to read only.
The zips on this page also include patched versions of the FlowersOutdoor.iff, MiniToadstool.iff, and TrashPile.iff in addition to the DragonGlobals.iff. You can get a FREE version of the User Made Nest Patch HERE. The free version does not include the other files. |

User Made Nest Patch
This patch allows the use of user created dragon nests. Any cloned nests will normally hatch a dragon that will not stay for more than a day. This is because the game looks for the original dragon nests. This file simply tells the dragon to refresh it's energy on it's own if it can't find the nest. It isn't really a cheat since you have no control over the dragon's sleeping habits anyway.

User Made Nest Patch + Smoke
In addition to the nest fix, this patch also replaces the fire with harmless smoke. The dragons will still leave if you don't care for them, and will try to start fires, but all they can produce is smoke.

Dragon Keeper
This is the dragon keeper patch. When the dragons motives get low enough that they want to leave, this patch will tell them to refresh all of their motives to 100%. They will still start fires for fun, so have the extinguisher handy.

Dragon Keeper + Smoke
This is my favorite patch. It is for those of you that want to enjoy your dragons without the hassles or dangers involved. The patch will refresh their motives to 100%, and it replaces the fire with harmless smoke. You will never have another dragon leave again, or have another Sim die due to dragon fire.
